Mustafa Yazar Primary School
This 12 classroom school was completed within four months in 1990 and made ready for educational provision. In this, it has a record in the whole of Turkey. Turgut Ozal, then president of Turkey, laid the Foundation stone and later opened the school. The premises include a laboratory, a library and two technical workshops. At present, 945 pupils are recieving education at the school. It has received awards in athletics from the city of Kayseri and at national level. In volleyball and in folk dance, it has been a runner up in local competitions.
Sema Yazar Primary School
The 30 classroom school built in 1994 in Kayseri, began educational provision in the ssame year. The school also has a laboratory, a library and a nursery, along with an administrative unit. During the 1998-1999 educational year, 1200 pupils attended classes; this number is increasing each year. the Sema Yazar Youth Foundation still continues to provide for the main needs of the school. It is to be noted that 90% of the children graduating from this school continue their education at a higher level. The school aims to reach 100%.
Şehit Hacı Aydıncı Primary School
This school is in an under-resourced area, outside Kayseri. The Foundation has donataed necessary educational materials, including a computer. Furthermore a meeting hall has been set up.
Sema Yazar Anatolian High School
The 24-classroom school was opened to education in the education year of 1994-1995. The school has a sports hall, a laboratory, computer facilities, an art workshop, a video room, two photocopy machines and a printing machine. It is the first Anatolian High School in Kayseri to provide preparatory classes for education through English and German. 7OO pupils are currently attending education. The school has produced young people successful in both cultural and sports activities. The Handball Team won the championship in Kayseri and came second in the regional schools tournament. In skiing (juniors category), Tugba Tasdemir won gold medals in Turkey and Europe; Eray Demirel won the City of Kayseri Chess Championship; Ersin Erdogmus won the city's top award in poetry, while in painting Esra Karaca got first award in Kayseri, fourth inTurkey and third in the Kubra Yilmaz Painting Competition. Aysegul Mandaci was commended for her design work. In the citywide general knowledge competition, the school team came first.
One of the pupils at the school, Serhat Yasar, was commended by the President of the Republic, Suleyman Demirel, in a poetry competition organised by the Turk-German Friendship
The Mediterranean Vocational School
Unit for Educable Children with Mental Disabilities
Set up for the integration of children with mental disabilities into society, the unit, which operates in accordance with the general aims of the Turkish National education Curriculum, was completed and put into service with the help of the Foundation. Children with special learning needs, aged 11 to 18, are educated here. The school has four workshops, an archive room, a storeroom, a warehouse and three classrooms. At present there are 84 pupils at school.
