Environmental Planning

Sema Yazar Park
On an area of 15,000 m2, the Sema Yazar Park, with a drinking fountain, was built in 1994 on one of the main streets in Kayseri. It has met a great need in the neighbouring environment and has won the praise of the local community.

Sema Yazar Forest
In 1993, 75 hectares in the forestry area of Ilkyakut village, in the district of Ankara, was planted with young trees. Every year, on organised treeplanting and picnic days, the forest area is extended with the cooperation of our scholarship students, Foudation members and the Ministry or Forestry.

Sports Activities
We organise annual competitions, such as the Sema Yazar Horseback riding competitions, an Erciyes Skiing Competitions with merit awards, a Cirit (a game similar to Polo) Competition and Tennis Competitions.

Youth Activities
Tours and excursions are organised for students to discover Turkey and its beauties, to develop new areas of interest such as skiing and to meet others and make friends. Tours have so far been organised to Cappadocia, the area of the GAP barrage project in the south east of Turkey, and to Kayseri and the nearby Erciyes mountain.

Culture and Arts
We have arranged for the restoration, both internal and external, of the Ahi Yusuf Mosque and tomb in Anltalya. We also periodically organise concerts, art exhibitions and conferences.
